Job Description

My client is looking for a Plumbing and Heating Engineer to ensure the safety and comfort of the client's tenants by delivering high-quality heating and plumbing services in compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs, servicing, and installations of gas and wet heating systems.
  • Diagnose and repair plumbing issues across the client's properties.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and Gas Safe guidance to ensure tenant safety.
  • Collaborate with planners, service delivery teams, managers, and contractors to resolve customer service issues.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in line with the client's standards.
  • Maximise first-time fix rates by managing van stock and maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Participate in an optional on-call rota to support emergency repairs 24/7, 365 days a year.
  • Take ownership of personal development, staying up to date with legislation and technical updates.
  • Monitor and improve personal performance based on feedback and objectives.
  • Perform other duties appropriate to the role.
  • Act as a role model for the client's values.

Performance Measures:

  • Timely completion of jobs within corporate targets.
  • Up-to-date gas and plumbing qualifications.
  • Maintain productivity equivalent to completing eight jobs per day.

Person Specification:

Expertise:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in gas servicing, breakdown, or installation (including training).
  • Preferably 3 years' plumbing experience (including training).
  • Proficient with mobile working technology (e.g., tablets).
  • Skilled in dynamic risk assessments.
  • Strong communication skills (face-to-face and telephone).
  • Ability to work methodically under pressure.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Adherence to regulations and industry standards.
  • Self-motivated learner.
  • Commitment to equality and diversity in service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

Essential:

  • ACS Core Safety Assessment - CCN1
  • Combustion Analysis - CPA1
  • Cookers - CKR1
  • Space Heaters - HTR1
  • Central Heating - CEN1
  • DHWSS (unvented cylinders) qualification
  • Plumbing NVQ Level 2
  • Full valid UK Driving Licence (business van provided)

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Gas and Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with commercial heating, LPG, renewable energies
  • Asbestos Awareness and Water Regulations training
  • Experience in the affordable housing sector

Additional Information:

A local Authority based in Northampton is seeking a reliable and hardworking Environmental Operative / Labourer to join our Property Maintenance and Compliance team on a 3-month fixed-term contract.
In this vital role, you will assist with property clearances, cleaning, garden maintenance, graffiti removal, and other general labouring duties to help maintain our homes and communities to a high standard.

Key Duties Include:

  • Clearing and cleaning vacated properties
  • Delivering and collecting materials and items
  • Removing waste, furniture, and debris from properties
  • Undertaking basic gardening and horticultural tasks
  • Carrying out basic DIY and minor maintenance work
  • Using tools, equipment, and chemicals safely and responsibly

What We're Looking For:

  • A valid UK driving licence
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks

Supervisor

£0.00 - £27 per hour

A great new opportunity has arisen for a Repairs Supervisor to join a national Social Housing Contractor on a temporary ongoing basis in Hammersmith & Fulham. This role will be paid at £27.00 per hour (CIS OR Umbrella) with a van & fuel card supplied. You will be required to supervise a team of trade operatives and subcontractors whilst working closely with the Contracts Management team.

Working Hours Mon - Fri - 8:00am - 17:00pm with a half hour break

Will be an 60/40 - 60% office (reports, timesheets etc) and 40% on site (site inspections, toolbox talks and attending complaint jobs)

The successful candidate will:

  • Mentor and supervise a trades team
  • Supervising up to 6 multi skilled operatives
  • Develop relationships with colleagues and support them with growth targets
  • Be responsible for achieving contract excellence
  • Ensure a high standard of communication is maintained with the client, customers & colleagues

Plasterer

Up to £21.40 per hour

MMP is currently recruiting for a Plasterer to join a Social Housing contractor based in Hammersmith and Fulham on a temporary basis paying £21.40 per hour CIS.


The successful Trades Operative will be required too:

  • Complete repairs and maintenance within occupied and void properties as well as associated works
  • Be customer focused
  • Work towards tight deadlines
  • Have social housing experience

Pay Rate:

  • £21.40ph (CIS or umbrella rate) which equates to over £700 per week take home.

Hours:

  • 42.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri) 8am - 17:00pm with an half hour break

Qualifications Required:

  • Recognised trade qualification i.e. City and Guilds/ NVQ (certificate must be available to provide)

  • Have social housing experience


Pay Rate:

  • £21.40ph (CIS or umbrella rate) which equates to over £700 per week take home.

A new opportunity has arisen to work for a national contractor for a Multi Trade Operative on a temp to perm basis paying £21.40 per hour CIS. The successful Multi Trader will be required to complete reactive maintenance within properties and communal areas covering KT postcodes. The successful Multi Trader must be willing to travel however you the aim will be to keep you as local to your home as possible.
Pay Rate:

  • £21.40 per hour CIS.


Working Hours: 8am til 17:00pm Mon - Fri
Multi Trade Skills required:

  • Multi Trade Duties
  • Carpentry / Plumbing
  • Tiling
  • Basic Plastering
  • Fault finding and ensuring satisfactory fault rectification
  • UPVC repairs and maintenance
  • Double glazed unit replacement
  • Carpentry such as kitchen repairs, hanging doors etc
  • Use of a PDA to manage and record daily work.


Qualifications Required:
