Environmental Operative / Labourer (3-Month Contract)

Location: Northampton
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm)
Contract: Fixed-term - 3 months
Hourly Rate: £18.25 p/h Umbrella

A local Authority based in Northampton is seeking a reliable and hardworking Environmental Operative / Labourer to join our Property Maintenance and Compliance team on a 3-month fixed-term contract.
In this vital role, you will assist with property clearances, cleaning, garden maintenance, graffiti removal, and other general labouring duties to help maintain our homes and communities to a high standard.

Key Duties Include:

• Clearing and cleaning vacated properties
• Delivering and collecting materials and items
• Removing waste, furniture, and debris from properties
• Undertaking basic gardening and horticultural tasks
• Carrying out basic DIY and minor maintenance work
• Using tools, equipment, and chemicals safely and responsibly

What We're Looking For:

• A valid UK driving licence
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks
• Willingness to work in confined, unpleasant, or outdoor conditions
• Ability to meet high standards under time constraints
• Flexible, reliable, and able to work well in a team
• Willing to undertake training in multi-skilling and new tasks

Please note: You do not need to hold a CPC qualification or LGV Class C1 licence. You will be paired with another operative / driver-qualified employee.

A new opportunity has arisen to work for a national contractor for a Multi Trade Operative on a temp to perm basis paying £21.40 per hour CIS. The successful Multi Trader will be required to complete reactive maintenance within properties and communal areas covering KT postcodes. The successful Multi Trader must be willing to travel however you the aim will be to keep you as local to your home as possible.
Pay Rate:

• £21.40 per hour CIS.

Working Hours: 8am til 17:00pm Mon - Fri
Multi Trade Skills required:

• Multi Trade Duties
• Carpentry / Plumbing
• Tiling
• Basic Plastering
• Fault finding and ensuring satisfactory fault rectification
• UPVC repairs and maintenance
• Double glazed unit replacement
• Carpentry such as kitchen repairs, hanging doors etc
• Use of a PDA to manage and record daily work.

Qualifications Required:

• Basic DBS Check
• Relevant trade quals e.g NVQ or City & Guilds

You will be supplied with:

• Company branded van
• Fuel card
• PDA

MMP Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Plumber to join a Social Housing contractor based covering KT postcodes on a temporary ongoing basis paying £21.40 per hour CIS with a van and fuel card supplied.
The successful Plumber will be required too:

• Complete plumbing repairs and maintenance within occupied and void properties as well as associated works
• Be customer focused
• Have a plumbing qualification
• Have social housing experience

The Plumber Pay Rate:

• £21.40ph (CIS or umbrella rate)

Hours:

• 42.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri)

The Plumber will be supplied with:

• A van
• Fuel card
• PDA System

Requirements
- Hold a relevant trade quals e.g NVQ or City & Guilds
- Social Housing experience (Desirable)
- Full UK drivers license

A great opportunity has arisen for a Multi Trade Carpenter to join a social housing contractor on a temporary ongoing basis paying £21.40 per hour CIS or Umbrella. This will be covering South London postcodes. The successful Multi Trade Carpenter will be available within short notice, have social housing experience and must have a driving license as you will be supplied with a van and fuel card.
Working hours Mon - Fri 8am - 17:00pm with a half hour break
Multi Trade Carpenter Duties:

• Carry out carry out a range of repairs and maintenance within social housing properties including carpentry, plumbing painting and decorating and patch plastering in both voids and occupied properties.

The Successful Multi Trade Carpenter will be required to:

• Ensure works are completed at a high standard within given time frames
• Hold a carpentry qualification
• Carry out works allocated by appointments
• Have a valid UK Driving Licence
• A basic DBS will be required

Multi Trader - Permanent Position

Location: Essex (designated local patch)
Salary: £36,000 per annum
Potential Earnings: £42,000 - £45,000 per annum (with call-out)

Role Overview

A national contractor is seeking a skilled Multi Trader to carry out reactive maintenance in residential properties and communal areas. While some travel is required, the aim is to keep you working as close to home as possible.

Pay and Benefits

• Call-Out Pay:

  • £25 per hour (per call-out)
