Job Description

MMP Consultancy is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Advisor on behalf of an FM Provider based in Kent. This is a remote/hybrid role with work across Kent, East Sussex, London, Essex and Bedfordshire. The salary is £55,000 plus a £4,872 car allowance.

Key Responsibilities:


* Offer expert advice to ensure all Group operations comply with current legislation and regulations.
* Conduct audits across sites/contracts and hub offices to maintain adherence to company HSQ&E procedures.
* Provide clear guidance to operations on utilising appropriate HSQ&E Procedures outlined.
* Serve as a reliable source of clear HSQ&E advice, promoting safe practices aligned with industry standards.
* Advise on safety, health, welfare, and fire prevention matters, aiding in hazard identification and risk assessment preparation.
* Support in staff and supplier training on company best practices.
* Contribute to the development and enhancement of systems and processes.
* Ensure all procedures align with the company's RMS HS&E Inspections and Site Visits.
* Conduct, document, and communicate inspections to relevant parties within designated timelines.
* Collaborate with sites in preparation for inspections and promptly distribute inspection reports.
* Maintain HSQ&E documentation standards in line with RMS, industry standards, and legislation.


Requirements:


* Essential minimum GRAD (now Certified) IOSH qualification.
* NEBOSH General Certificate.
* NVQ Diploma Level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice (or working towards).
* Internal auditor qualifications for 9001, 14001, and/or 45001.
* NEBOSH Fire certificate or similar preferred.
* IEMA Certification or similar preferred.
* Minimum 3 years HSQE experience in a Hard services environment (Maintenance within healthcare setting advantageous).
* Experience in small projects within a Hard services FM environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient in IT.
* Full driving licence with own car (driving essential for the role).

    MMP Consultancy is seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to lead and implement a private hospital's environmental sustainability strategy. This will be on a temporary interim basis until at least May 2025, to start as soon as possible.

    The rate of pay will be dependent on the candidate's level of experience.

    This includes overseeing energy & water management, waste reduction, sustainable travel, and compliance with environmental legislation. The key focus of this role will be to help see the hospital through their upcoming ISO 14001 recert audit.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead sustainability initiatives, including energy and waste management, carbon reduction, and sustainable design.
    • Ensure compliance with energy, waste, and environmental regulations.
    • Develop and communicate sustainability policies and engage staff in environmental efforts.
    • Manage energy efficiency projects, monitor performance, and maintain compliance with industry standards.
    • Collaborate on climate change adaptation and sustainable travel strategies.
    • Provide advice and guidance on energy investments and resource management.


    Requirements:

    • Experience in leading on an ISO Audit.
    • Degree-level qualification or relevant experience.
    • Extensive experience in sustainability projects within large organisations.
    • Strong knowledge of energy, waste, and environmental management practices.
    • Ability to engage and influence at all levels.
    • Familiarity with British & European sustainability regulations.
    • Membership in a recognised sustainability body (e.g., CEnv, CIWM) is desirable

    MMP Consultancy are working with a fantastic organisation to recruit a Contracts Administrator to join them on a fixed term basis in Kent.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Have a focus on safety first with all risks identified immediately escalated to the Contract Manager
    • Provide regular updates and support to Senior Contract Manager on contracts outcomes against programme
    • Undertake regular audit of contract related information including certification (Where applicable) and develop action plans for closing works in a consistent manner.
    • Collate, analyse, monitor and report on KPIs within the contractual frameworks
    • Provide financial monitoring support and analysis to Contract manager
    • Regular monitoring of Cx Task Management
    • Monitor and report on contract management meeting actions
    • Support delivery teams in responding to written and phone enquires and update Cx as necessary.
    • Processing works orders, completions, process for payments or inspection requests in accordance with the policies and procedures and respond to general queries relating to proposed and confirmed works
    • Assist in the provision of information for the database for Stock Condition, Asbestos, Fire Risk Assessment and any other areas as required.


    Requirements:

    • Experience of data analysis and process management
    • Proven project management or contract experience
    • Ability to co communicate and influence contractors, colleagues and other stakeholders
    • Detailed knowledge of using a variety of JCT and partnering contracts
    • Proven influencing and negotiating skills to resolve problems
    • Sound judgement and prioritisation skills
