Job Description

MMP Consultancy is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Advisor on behalf of an FM Provider based in Kent. This is a remote/hybrid role with work across Kent, East Sussex, London, Essex and Bedfordshire. The salary is £55,000 plus a £4,872 car allowance.

Key Responsibilities:


* Offer expert advice to ensure all Group operations comply with current legislation and regulations.
* Conduct audits across sites/contracts and hub offices to maintain adherence to company HSQ&E procedures.
* Provide clear guidance to operations on utilising appropriate HSQ&E Procedures outlined.
* Serve as a reliable source of clear HSQ&E advice, promoting safe practices aligned with industry standards.
* Advise on safety, health, welfare, and fire prevention matters, aiding in hazard identification and risk assessment preparation.
* Support in staff and supplier training on company best practices.
* Contribute to the development and enhancement of systems and processes.
* Ensure all procedures align with the company's RMS HS&E Inspections and Site Visits.
* Conduct, document, and communicate inspections to relevant parties within designated timelines.
* Collaborate with sites in preparation for inspections and promptly distribute inspection reports.
* Maintain HSQ&E documentation standards in line with RMS, industry standards, and legislation.


Requirements:


* Essential minimum GRAD (now Certified) IOSH qualification.
* NEBOSH General Certificate.
* NVQ Diploma Level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice (or working towards).
* Internal auditor qualifications for 9001, 14001, and/or 45001.
* NEBOSH Fire certificate or similar preferred.
* IEMA Certification or similar preferred.
* Minimum 3 years HSQE experience in a Hard services environment (Maintenance within healthcare setting advantageous).
* Experience in small projects within a Hard services FM environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient in IT.
* Full driving licence with own car (driving essential for the role).

Senior Project Manager

MMP Consultancy is seeking a Senior Capital/Construction Project Manager on behalf of a central London based University. The candidate will be responsible for managing a team of client-side Construction Project Managers to oversee the entire lifecycle of various projects within the University's estate.

The salary is £64,691 per annum plus generous benefits including 35 days annual leave plus bank holidays plus a university closure over the winter break. The ideal candidate would be able to start as soon as possible and would have either NHS or University experience working as

Responsibilities:
* Support the Deputy Director Capital Development in implementing the Estate Strategy and University objectives, driving key initiatives, and ensuring compliance with deadlines and University values.
* Manage high-value, impactful projects, overseeing day-to-day operations and long-term planning while acting as the client lead for investment activities and engaging outsourced consultants.
* Champion sustainability, accessibility, and inclusivity in all projects, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to embed University values and ensure long-term project success.
* Accountable for project budgets, procurement, and risk management, ensuring compliance with legislative and building standards.
* Develop and implement a university-wide process for client brief development, ensuring alignment with University values and strategies.

* Appropriate professional qualification or equivalent significant professional experience in project managing large capital projects.
* Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience in capital development and/or project management.
* PRINCE2 qualified or equivalent project management experience.
* Significant successful experience handling multiple projects, simultaneously focusing on macro and micro detail ranging from an overview on £20m new build projects to direct management of £5K - £100k refurbishment projects.
* Significant, broad, demonstrable experience of successfully managing large and complex capital programmes.
* Proven ability in the management and successful delivery of full lifecycle programmes, demonstrating the ability to coordinate and control the programme within defined timescales and budgets.
* Significant knowledge of health and safety requirements and building standards compliance and frameworks and proven ability to apply these in practice.
* Proven awareness and understanding of risk management and applying this in practice.
* Significant successful experience in liaising with clients, solicitors, and local authorities on matters relating to development to ensure that building projects are fully compliant and in line with designated requirements.

Capital Projects Manager

£50377.00 - £60000 per annum

MMP Consultancy is seeking a client-side Capital Projects Manager to join the Estates & Capital Development team of an Oxfordshire-based college on a 2 year fixed-term basis. The salary range is between £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience, plus benefits.

The successful candidate will lead the effective management of college capital projects, collaborating closely with college managers, staff, students, and design teams. Their role will involve ensuring that high-quality schemes are developed within approved budgets, timescales, and in alignment with the college's policies and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the client briefing process, accurately identifying requirements and project scope
* Appoint and manage multi-disciplinary design teams, coordinating the design process within budget constraints
* Procure main contractors and project manage large schemes in an education environment
* Liaise with external agencies to gain statutory approvals

Electrician

I am seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join a constituent college based in Cambridge. This is a permanent role with a basic working week of 37.5 hours with an on-call rota and overtime. MMP Consultancy are working with a fantastic organisation to recruit Compliance Contracts Officer to join them on a temporary basis, based in Kent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the administration and management of Asbestos Surveying and Asbestos Removal contracts, along with any other small compliance-related contracts, ensuring compliance policies and procedures are followed.
  • Provide regular updates and support to the Building Safety Manager on contract outcomes against the programme, including KPIs, budget, contract meetings, and general progress all within the contractual framework.
  • Undertake procurement exercises with the Building Safety Manager, and Procurement Manager for the compliance contracts.
  • Ensure systems are continuously updated including but not limited to the Asbestos Register, Asbestos Management Plan, Housing and Asset System, CRM, and Documents Management.
  • Raising and completing orders, organising inspections, processing payment, and carrying out other support tasks such as word processing, correspondence, specifications, and providing general support to the Building Safety Manager within the Asset Team.
  • Attend relevant webinars, courses, and collaborative networks to ensure that legislation and regulation changes are incorporated into our Policies and procedures.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in asbestos contract management is essential.
  • Detailed knowledge of building pathology
  • Understanding of compliance activities within social housing and ability to manage compliance contracts.
  • Experience in using a variety of JCT and partnering contracts with the ability to undertake a procurement exercise.
  • Previous experience using systems such as CX or Keystone would be an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate and influence contractors, colleagues, and stakeholders.
