Mobile Technician Electrical Bias

Job Description

I am seeking 2x Electrical bias Mobile Technicians to join a subsidiary for the NHS on a permanent basis. Will be required to travel across different sites, overseeing the maintenance and BMS of hospitals based in central London. Salary ranges from £34,089 - £41,498 depending on qualifications and experience with 25 days annual leave, health and life insurance and expense claims.

Responsibilities:

* Performs semi-skilled maintenance tasks and checks, including basic Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks for Water, Fire, Ventilation, Electrical and Building Fabric to ensure the Trust's buildings and grounds adhere to statutory compliance and are fit for purpose.
* Competent Person level in at least one of the following: Water, Electrical, Ventilation, Lifts, Fire, Medical Gas, Pressure System, or other estate-related area.
* Diagnose and repair Electrical faults.
* Maintaining Emergency systems such as lighting, smoke, and fire alarms.
* Uses CAFM system to access work requests and feedback on job status. Ensures own work is carried out within the priority set for the task, and any work not completed is highlighted to the Helpdesk. Ensures any work undertaken is recorded on the CAFM system.
* Escalates faults, issues, risks, and items outside of their remit, competencies, and training to the appropriate specialist contractor through the Helpdesk and line manager e.g. tasks that require specialist assistance or skills
* Maintain records and conduct repairs.
* Work in various environments, including unsociable hours.
* BMS Panels

Qualifications and Skills:

* 18th edition
* City & Guilds certificate or NVQ Level 3
* 2391 (Desirable)
* Ability to use CAFM systems and handheld technology

    We are seeking a Building Safety Manager for a major landlord, the role will require someone who will take the lead on a patch of high-rise properties, make decisions based on the best practice and future proofing principles. Management of documentation, liaison with multiple internal teams and external contractors / consultants. Ensuring the compliance of all properties within the patch and any works are being managed appropriately.

    Key Duties

    • Effectively contribute to the wider Building Safety team to provide ongoing support to colleagues and others through the sharing of knowledge, experience and skills.
    • Actively supervise the safe management of higher-risk residential buildings through an operational understanding of their construction, complexity, use, hazard profile and analysis of associated risk.
    • Implement and maintain effective controls in respect of structural and fire safety ensuring that all life safety systems are effectively managed and maintained.
    • Ensure that building safety information is current, available and in the required format to the London Fire Brigade and other regulatory, and professional agencies.
    • Ensure that the resident engagement strategy is in place, that it has been communicated and understood by residents and that it is effectively applied to ensure that any safety concerns are recorded, reported, monitored, and tracked to their appropriate completion.
    • Provide a frequent and visible presence within allocated buildings to offer professional, informed advice and support to residents, authorities, and other stakeholders on the fire safety strategy to ensure they are clearly defined, and understood as to responsibilities, decisions, and actions that individuals should an event occur.
    • Ensure that regular inspections and monitoring activities are conducted to understand how residents are using the building.
