Damp & Mould Project Manager

£350 - £400 per day
 

Job Description

Our client is seeking for a new Damp & Mould Project Manager to join an existing Damp and Mould Task Force to respond swiftly and effectively to reports of damp and mould in its homes. Our client need a skilled and experienced manager to establish and lead the Task Force. Ideally you will have experience of managing in a local authority housing setting, and will have a good understanding of the challenges facing social landlords in responding effectively to instances of damp and mould. An asset/property maintenance background would also be helpful, but not essential. The post will report into the Assistant Director of Housing Assets.

This post would be paying between £350 - £400 Per Day.

    * To follow our clients Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure, as far as is practicable, your own safety and that of others in the workplace. You may be required to undertake specific Health and Safety roles such as Fire Warden or First Aider as part of your duties
    * To co-operate with the duty holder as required by current Asbestos Regulations including complying with the Asbestos Management Plan, reporting incidents, passing on information about the presence of asbestos, attending training, project managing surveys and abatement works. Including undertaking Asbestos management surveys and updating the Asbestos data base as necessary to maintain statutory compliance.

    About the Job:

    We are looking for a Maintenance Surveyor to join our clients Reactive Repairs team.
    The primary function of the Maintenance Surveyor role is to provide a responsive repair service for our client.
    You will also ensure that all of our clients owned and managed properties are maintained to the highest possible standards and that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met and ensure staff, residents, leaseholders, managing agencies and property owners are provided with a high standard of service.

    What you'll need
    * Experience as a building surveyor in a maintenance environment carrying out pre and post inspections.
    * Knowledge of relevant and current codes of practice, building regulations, health and safety legislation, standards, and materials.
    * Knowledge of construction and design and construction related defects and how to avoid them.
    * Knowledge of procurement law and different forms of contract
    * Knowledge of contract management
    * Ability to use the appropriate IT tools to produce reports, documents, emails, including using Excel and Word to compile reports for different audiences
