We have an opportunity for a highly self-motivated and effective individual to join our friendly, professional team in this important Compliance Officer role for the Repairs and Maintenance team.
Reporting to our Asset & Compliance Lead Officer, our Compliance Officer role will manage and offer guidance in all aspects of Fire Safety and Asbestos compliance for buildings owned or managed by the Council's Housing Landlord. You will act as the main point of contact for compliance related issues including the commissioning of works via maintenance or specialist companies. Training will be available to enable the Officer to ensure the Council remains legally compliant and adheres to regulations and guidance.
Ideally you will have experience of working within a regulatory framework where compliance, risk management and precise outcomes are essential. A comprehensive understanding of Fire Safety Act, Asbestos awareness particularly where it relates to social housing is essential. Having, or developing, a good knowledge of risk assessments and safety measures and controls within buildings, you should also be familiar with the Health and Safety Act, Regulatory Reform and all current Building Regulations.
With a customer-focused, flexible, cooperative and well organised working style, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate compliance information clearly and effectively to colleagues in other departments, good presentation skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure, think strategically and problem solve.

MMP Consultancy currently has an opportunity for a Fire Door Inspector to join a Public Sector Housing organisation covering an area of South London. The role is paying £200 to £250 per day Inside IR35.

Fire Door Inspection Qualification Preferred: (FDIS or BRE Door Inspector)
As a Fire Door Inspector, you will:
* Undertaking visual inspections of Communal and internal doors and slightly more detailed inspections of entrance doors / flat doors.
* Report on the information for the fire door in line with current expectations onto a PDA
* Be able to identify that the frame specification is correct for the door's rating.
* Have a good working knowledge of current Health & Safety and other relevant legislation.
* Make adjustments as and if required.
* Liaise with tenants well and represent the organisation.

This will be a permanent position paying £50,000-£52,000 P/A Plus Benefits.
The role will see you being based out of the Leicestershire office covering a patch between either Leicester- Nottingham or Leicester - Northampton,
The WFH Split is 1-2 days P/W in the office, 2-3 days P/W on inspections/at home.

Role Overview:
* Reports to the Fire Safety Manager
* Does have line management responsibility.
* Is responsible for managing the FRA process and ensuring actions are issued, managed, and completed.
* Is responsible for chairing FRA Task Group meetings.
* To ensure the successful delivery of fire safety, FRA actions and to support senior management and management teams in doing the same.
* The post holder will prepare and present KPI reports on the fire safety programme.
* Be comfortable with using a range of software, databases and a strong user of all Microsoft tools.
* Work in partnership with Building Safety Team to develop an appropriate fire safety procedure to comply with legislation and the Council's policies and procedures.
* The post holder will work collaboratively with all teams to deliver positive outcomes and maintain resident safety. Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including fire enforcement bodies, contractors, and partners.
* To help develop policies and procedures to the support the work of the team and department.
* To carry out such other duties within the competence of the post holder which may be reasonably required from time to time.
