Stan has recently joined the MMP team in September 2023. Despite recently joining the Asset Management, Building Safety and Maintenance team, Stan’s recruitment journey began in October 2022 when he was up in Manchester working as a 360 consultant specialising in the Mechanical and Electrical Building Services sector for UK clients. With his clear understanding of how to deliver both candidate and client need from his experience in the North, Stan is looking to continue to showcase and improve his knowledge within the Public Sector across the East Midlands.

Up to £222.00 per day

MMP Consultancy are currently seeking a Damp and Mould Surveyor for a Local Authority in Derbyshire on an interim basis paying £222/day.

Preferably be a qualified candidate who has experience of working specifically with Damp cases within social housing.

Key Duties:

* Inspection of properties to specify repair/improvements in relation to damp and mould cases.
* Carry out post inspections and quality assurances.
* Check accuracy of invoices submitted by contractors to maximise cost efficiency.
* Understanding of technical terms and causes of damp, from leaks to condensation.
* Manage tenant expectations and educate tenants on how to reduce damp and mould.

Job Purpose:

* To provide the area project surveying function to enable the delivery of NPH's annual asset investment programme, with customers put first throughout all

Job Purpose:

  • The role will be focused on carrying out expert witness services related to housing disrepair. This requires the surveyor to undertake surveys, write up findings in a Scott Schedule and prepare a report.

  • Work as part of our experienced in-house team to complete inspections of disrepair; provide court compliant reports, post inspections and desktop reviews critiquing the reports provided by external surveyors.

  • To manage the disrepair and complex complaints case load, provide technical reports and legal statements, refute opposing opinion and deliver satisfactory results for the organisation and our customers

  • To ensure all legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements for maintaining safe, warm and dry properties are met (Fitness for Habitation, etc.)

  • Ensure Health and Safety requirements are met in accordance with Northamptonshire Partnership Homes (NPH) policy, procedures and statutory requirements.

  • To ensure all completed works comply with the current regulations and legislative requirements and are completed within the distinctive time scales set out by legislation for disrepair cases

MMP Consultancy currently has an opportunity for a Property Surveyor to join a housing association. My client is looking for a Property Surveyor. This role is FULLY REMOTE Covering an area which includes East London, Chelmsford and Colchester

This position is paying £50,209.69 Benefits (inc Car Allowance)

Job Purpose:

The role is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of property investment, service & inspection and repairs services to parts of the property portfolio, approx. 20-40 locations. Working with housing/care operations you will ensure timely delivery of services, and ensure all properties are kept in a good condition within property strategy targets. You will ensure compliance with commercial and contract management arrangements, ensuring the contractual obligations are met. Manage project performance and working with the quantity surveying team ensure robust financial forecasting, processing of valuations and contract instructions. To be responsible for identifying cost saving through collaboration with contractor and quantity surveying team. The role will require strong interaction with housing/care operations teams to ensure works run smoothly and meets the needs of the business.

Key Accountabilities:

Freedom to act:

* This is an important role within Property which ensures maintenance of good quality homes through individual ownership of each location.

* The role has latitude within budgetary restrictions and portfolio strategy requirements to prioritise activity and spend to achieve these targets.

* As well as day to day activity, this role will have to respond quickly and effectively to ad hoc requests from the business, which may be complex, urgent, and business critical.

* The role will require effective engagement with colleagues in Housing and Care operations

Nature of impact:

* The role will work with others to effectively deliver repairs, investment and service & inspection activities to individual locations.

* Collaboratively with quantity surveying team, contractors and colleagues.

Key Tasks:

* Delivery of all property activities to a portfolio of properties

* To undertake regular inspections such as Stock Condition surveys, MOT surveys and Asbestos reinspection's

* Working within the management arrangements ensure repairs and planned works are necessary and delivered in the most cost effective manner.

* To analyse performance of properties to recommend future investment, and repair planning for you portfolio.
