MMP Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Housing Surveyor for a Local Authority in Bedfordshire on an interim basis paying circa £300/day inside IR35 for a 3 month contract, working on a hybrid basis.

The right candidate will carry out inspections for major and minor repairs, adaptation, and improvement work.

Job Requirements:

* The health, safety, and condition of dwellings by identification through inspection of void properties, and analysis of defects leading to project managing cost effective works to time, quality, and budget.

* The planning, preparation, procurement, delivery and management of revenue and capital works programmes to time, budget, and quality from inception to completion.

* Management, administration, procurement, and supervision of contractors delivering inspection, risk assessment, renovation, servicing, and maintenance to council owned property.

* Taking part as required in emergency planning.

* Carrying out surveys and inspections of properties to diagnose repair defects and order effective remedial works.

* Occasional desktop diagnosis of customer repair enquiries offering effective remedial works to reduce the number of site inspections of property completed by colleagues.

* Working with contractors, placing orders for remedial works to void properties, managing the works & monitoring from start to completion.

Job Essentials:

* HND/Degree Qualification

I am currently recruiting for a Plasterer to join a social housing contractor on a temporary ongoing basis covering areas in Central Bedford. A basic DBS Check will need to be carried out if successful.

Pay Rate:
* Temp - £20ph (CIS or Umbrella)

Hours:
* 42.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri)

Plasterer Duties:
* Complete Plastering repairs and maintenance within occupied and void properties as well as associated works
* Be customer focused
* Have a relevant trade qualification
* Have a DBS Check
