MMP is seeking for a new Head of Repairs to join a small Housing Association based in Essex. This is a great opportunity for any Repairs Managers looking for the next step in their career.

Role: Head of Repairs
Location: Essex (3 Days per week)

Our client is evolving structures and processes to be fit for the future and are seeking a highly skilled and passionate construction professional to lead the delivery of excellent responsive repairs services for our customers.
As Head of Repairs, you must be pro-active in your approach, have exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to look for and implement innovative solutions. You will need to use these skills to work positively with the Executive and the Senior Leadership Team.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading and managing the delivery of the repairs and maintenance service and associated contracts with a budget responsibility of approx. £3m ensuring customer service excellence and achievement of financial targets.
* Ensuring that the repairs service is customer-focused and that the Repairs team and our contractors deliver the service to meet or exceed its service and financial targets and our clients commitments to our customers.
* Collaboration with the Assistant Director in the development of repairs policy and strategy.
* Ensuring a proactive response to complaints and customer feedback and regularly use these to improve the service.
To be successful in this role you must have:
* A passion for the delivery of property services and a can-do approach.
* Experience in leading teams in housing maintenance delivery.
* Strong budget management skills.
* Degree in Building/construction (or equivalent).
* Experience of understanding of legislation and practical issues regarding installation, maintenance, repairs, and compliancy of Buildings.
* An understanding and basic awareness of current housing legislation and regulation.
* Knowledge and understanding of Construction Contracts and Contract law.

MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Capital Programme Contract Manager to join a local authority based in Somerset.

This will be an Interim position 6-9 months paying £433.25 P/Day Umbrella.

The Role:

  • Deliver Housing Capital Programme contracts ensuring the objectives, targets and priorities of the Council are achieved whilst remaining compliant within statutory regulations.
  • Provide high quality Housing Capital Programme service expertise to assist in the delivery of the Council's aims, objectives and operational planning.

Job Purpose:

  • Deliver Capital Programme contacts across the following areas of responsibility: 1. Provide effective contract management which delivers efficient Capital Programmes that are customer focused, deliver value for money and maintains properties to an appropriate standard.
  • Manage external contractors to deliver excellent performance at all times for all workstreams allocated to them.
  • Actively engage with residents in relation to projects and assist in continually improving resident satisfaction with service delivery.
  • Assist in procurement activities for Capital Programmes to be allocated to them.
  • Ensure accurate records are kept for all Capital Programmes allocated to them and that appropriate reporting systems are in place.
  • Respond to emergencies, on occasion during unsocial hours, and participate in a rota to provide response cover.
  • Contribute to operational risk management activities, within the remit of the post.
  • Actively participate in both corporate and post specific learning and development activities and to continually develop skills and abilities within the role.
