Project Surveyor

£450 - £550 per day Umbrella (DOE)

MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Project Surveyor to join a Housing Association based in Sutton, Surrey. This will be an interim position paying £450-550p/d Umbrella

Responsibilities & Outcomes

  • To deliver and manage major capital works contracts
  • To undertake contractor mobilisation, regular contract management meetings, valuations and payment certificate process, variation review / sign-off and final account.
  • To write capital works' specifications to be used in the procurement of works.
  • To apply technical expertise to understand complex issues in construction, engineering and maintenance in the delivery of projects.
  • To carry out on site visits in respect of post inspections or to provide technical advice.

Key Outcomes:

  • Resident satisfaction with the quality of works carried out.
  • Ensuring investment delivers value for money and is in accordance with budget and procurement approvals.
  • Ensure SHP's statutory and regulatory obligations are met where applicable

Skill & Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of successfully managing multiple, major works, social housing refurbishment contracts, inclusive of:
  • Effective contractor mobilisation, regular contract management meetings, valuations and payment certificate process, variation review / sign-off and final account.
  • Experience of managing JCT / NEC works contracts.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing capital works' specifications to be used in the procurement of works.
  • Good understanding and experience of leasehold charging consultation, (Section 20) requirements for qualifying works.
  • Experience of managing building consultants engaged to work on capital investment projects.
  • Good level technical expertise to understand complex issues in construction, engineering and maintenance in the delivery of projects.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with contractors to provide excellent customer service to residents.

Title: Project Surveyor

Day Rate: £450-550p/d Umbrella

Location: Sutton, Surrey

Clerk of Works

Up to £320 per day Umbrella

MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Clerk of Works to join a Housing Association based in Sutton, Surrey. This will be an interim position paying £320p/d Umbrella.

Responsibilities & Outcomes

  • Quality control work done on Minor/Major Works projects from inception to completion to ensure that each phase is defect free, meets the required quality standards and contributes to increased Customer Satisfaction
  • Comply with relevant procedures and standards across the Minor/Major Works programme and ensure that Providers and Contractors also comply. Report any failure to comply with the Capital Works Surveyors for action.
  • Understand the scope of the work covered in the Risk Register and monitor compliance.
  • Carry out site inspections and draft/complete report(s) on findings.
  • Ensure that Contractors take timely corrective action when defects are discovered.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience of working in a technical environment; assisting in delivering high value, high impact construction/engineering projects to time, cost and quality standards
  • Experience of working with projects in a way that achieves high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Experience of using rigorous site inspection techniques to underpin project delivery
  • Experience of achieving and demonstrating Value for Money in project delivery

MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a M&E Project Manager to join a local authority based in Westminster, London. This will be an interim position paying £450-500p/d Umbrella.

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Project Manager with a strong background in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) engineering to deliver complex capital projects on behalf of Westminster City Council (WCC). This is a hybrid role involving on-site presence and close collaboration with contractors, internal teams, and stakeholders. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of M&E project delivery, from planning to completion.
  • Manage project documentation, financial control, and reporting.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and supervise contractors and site staff.
  • Implement robust quality assurance measures and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and risks, addressing issues proactively.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between WCC, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Building and Fire Safety Project Manager to join a local authority based in Westminster, London. This will be an interim position paying £450-500p/d Umbrella.

My client is seeking a highly skilled Building and Fire Safety Project Manager to oversee projects that improve and maintain building safety and fire risk compliance across its property portfolio. This hybrid role combines remote working with regular site inspections, with responsibility for ensuring that all activities meet the latest safety regulations, best practices, and council standards. The Project Manager will lead on building safety improvements, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure effective risk management and regulatory compliance at every stage of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver building and fire safety projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with building safety, fire safety, and housing safety legislation (including the Building Safety Act and Fire Safety Act).
  • Lead on risk identification, mitigation, and reporting across the building portfolio.
