Job Description

MMP Consultancy is currently seeking an M&E Contract Surveyor to deliver a service within a local authority in West London. £400 per day LTD Inside IR35

Act as lead professional in all aspects of inspections, design and building contract procurement of works for the service and to provide expert professional and technical advice, guidance, training and support in all matters relating to cyclical maintenance of the stock in a customer focussed manner.

Looking for bias across Mechanical and Electrical areas of work in particular:

* Mechanical and electrical works, delivering both planned and reactive works.
* Lifts
* Door entry systems
* Alarm call systems
* Fire safety equipment
* Water testing
* Gas energy systems and appliances
* Communal heating & hot water systems
* Alternative green renewable energy solutions such as ground and air source heat pumps, solar panels

Key Duties:

* Covering planned maintenance, inspection and installation of equipment and services
* Pre-inspection / Post-inspection
* Project manager for cyclical maintenance and other improvement projects as assigned
* Work with Engineers in delivery of the works
* Delivering services in compliance with health and safety requirements Ensure compliance with legislative guidance.
* Has used the Compliance System - C365

Certification in Mechanical or Electrical w/ Legionella preferred.

    Required Skills and Qualifications:
    * Degree in construction or an equivalent qualification, with a Class 3 Building Control Surveyor Registration (BSR) preferred.
    * Full corporate membership with a recognised professional body such as RICS, CABE, or CIOB.
    * Minimum of seven years' experience in Building Control, with recent experience as a Senior Surveyor.
    * Ability to work independently with a proactive attitude towards learning and development.
    * Strong sense of responsibility and willingness to collaborate within a team environment.

    MMP Consultancy is seeking an experienced Building Control Enforcement Manager on behalf of a West London based Local Authority to lead a Building Control team in delivering compliance and enforcement services. The successful candidate will oversee the issuance of compliance and stop notices, manage responses to dangerous structures, and lead the 24/7 Dangerous Structures Team.


    This is initially a temporary interim contract for 3 months subject to likely extension. The successful candidate will work on a hybrid basis with some on-site requirements. The rate of pay is £575pd inside of IR35.

    Key Responsibilities:
    * Lead the implementation of compliance and stop notices for Building Control applications.
    * Oversee responses to dangerous structures, manage contracts, and supervise a dedicated 24/7 emergency team.
    * Guide and manage a team of Building Control specialists, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
    * Ensure all enforcement actions adhere to legal requirements, particularly the Building Regulations and London Building Acts.

    Key Skills and Qualifications:

    MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Senior Technical Officer (DFG) to join a local authority in the South West.

    This will be a interim position on a 6-9 Month contract paying £49 P/H Umbrella.

    Job Purpose:

    The purpose of the role is to manage clients' applications for Disabled Facilities Grants, loans and repair grants, including designing and organising schemes ensuring the property meets the needs of individuals and the Decent Homes Standard.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Understand, uphold, and promote the aims of the council's equality, diversity, and inclusion policies; health, safety, and wellbeing of self and other; and Organisational values in everything you do.     • Arrange and undertake site visits, meeting with applicants, occupational therapists (OT's), architects and contractors to determine eligibility for financial assistance.

    • Ensure project feasibility and scope of work, undertake measured surveys and to give technical advice. To liaise with other officers of the service and outside agencies.

    • Produce practical specifications, detailed drawings and schedules of work for extensions and other adaptations which contractors can work from to carry out the construction work. Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, Planning Permission, listed building consent and good practice.

    • Obtain quotations and estimates from contractors and to scrutinise them and undertake a fair costings exercise for the proposed work.

    • Carry out interim and final inspections and to appraise unforeseen works where technical problems have been encountered and to negotiate with applicants and contractors in matters of dispute, and to make decisions for approved grants and loans. Checking of final accounts, invoices and defects liability.
