Job Description

MMP Consultancy are currently seeking an Assistant Commercial Manager to work a permanent contract with a public sector housing organisation in London.

Flexible working can be applied but will require office work from two locations.

Key Duties
* Reporting to two Senior Commercial Managers, covering patches of the organisation, the key duties will include multi million pound litigation and non-litigation contract disputes.

* Contract values from £1 million to £45 million on current case load.

* Allowing for up to 25 cases at a time the Assistant Commercial Manager will be responsible for looking at all contractual documents to establish the legitimacy and entitlement to certain claims or disputes.

* Look at correspondence paperwork to support any claim being made.

* Piece together financial losses, provocation and delay analysis.

* Looking at all works information from design / drawings to on site.

* May look to manage smaller claims from beginning to end on their own initiative.

* Have a wide construction knowledge and deep analytical mind, inquisitive and meticulous in detail. Commercial knowledge and ability to communicate across multiple teams and stakeholders.

* Once disputes have been resolved additional assistance with other areas of the commercial team and procurement.

* Be part of a team of circa 8.

Salary: Circa. £61,339 £5,000 car allowance (Neg.)

Location: Central London 2/3 days with travel to a second office required on occasion.

Qualifications: Quantity or Building Surveying Degree OR related degree which is RICS or CIOB endorsed.

    MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Fire Officer to join a housing association based in Sutton. The role will be hybrid/agile working position.

    Job Overview

    Sutton Housing Partnership seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Fire Officer to ensure the safety

    and compliance of our social housing properties. The Fire Officer will be responsible for overseeing

    all aspects of fire safety within SHP buildings, with a primary focus on managing contractors,

    coordinating fire risk assessments, and implementing action plans. You will serve as the main point of contact for residents, external contractors, and enforcement agencies regarding fire safety matters.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee and manage contractors responsible for delivering fire risk assessments and door
    • inspections within SHP buildings, ensuring contractors adhere to relevant regulations and
    • standards.
    • Coordinate the implementation of actions identified in fire risk assessments.
    • Develop and maintain an action plan tracker to address identified risks, ensuring timely
    • completion and compliance.
    • Provide support and guidance to internal teams involved in fire safety initiatives.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and
    • implementation of fire safety measures.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for resdients, external contractors and enforcement

    Qualifications and Experience

    • NEBOSH Fire Safety and or equivalent qualification.
    • Experience managing contractors and overseeing fire risk assessments.
    • Thorough understanding of fire safety regulations, codes, and standards.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with residents and

    stakeholders.

    • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in data entry and use of relevant software applications (e.g:Microsoft Office,
    • Excel, CRM systems).

    Title: Fire Officer

    Salary: £300p/d Umbrella

    MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join a local authority based in South London on a hybrid basis.

    This will be an interim position paying Up to £500 per day Umbrella (Inside IR35) on a 6-9 Month contract with the option to be extended.

    Primary Job Function:
    - Deliver review of current Projects and Services around Investment programmes.
    - Review cost, timescale, quality, and delivery problems.
    - Write detailed reports and identify any works which need completing.
    - Work with contractors to understand processes and delivery in accordance with the agreed contract.
    - Problem finding, cost analysis and detailed future proofing of services.
