Job Description

I am currently recruiting for a Labourer on a temporary basis - the majority of the work to be attending initial reports for damp and mould, identifying the cause and resolving it where their skills allow. In all cases they will need to be willing to treat the mould itself first time. You will be provided with a van, tools, tablet and fuel card.

Monday to Friday - 40 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £18.22 Umbrella

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and regularly replenish impress stock of materials including recording usage on PDA
  • Specify and order specialist materials where required to complete task. Minimise wastage
  • Ensure all goods received notes and paperwork are returned to the Response admin team
  • Using PDA and/or job tickets correctly, completely and in real time
  • Standby log sheets, Material orders, Vehicle report sheets, policy procedure paperwork
  • Inform Managers of work tickets requiring cancelling, follow on works or change in status
  • Written - Reports for Area managers
  • Draw any queries to a conclusion
  • Ensure company vehicle is only used in accordance with company vehicle policy
  • Ensure the safe, effective use of tools and plant ensuring they are regularly maintained and serviced andsupervisor is notified of any loss or damage
  • Compliance with all company policy and procedures
  • Understand and abide with the Health & Safety regulations and ensure all work practices are safe
  • Carry out risk assessments, reporting bad practice and dangerous occurrences to supervisor
  • Achieving recognition under the CSCS Scheme
  • Present a positive image for Response, wearing corporate work wear whilst working
  • Act as an ambassador for Response and their Clients at all times
  • To deliver quality workmanship within your specific trades and without close supervision
  • Meet appointments as agreed with tenants
  • Complete work first time wherever possible
  • Take a flexible approach to delivering work when the workload dictates or their Trade Supervisor or Contract Manager require it
  • On completion of work inspect quality and be satisfied before leaving the customer
  • Take responsibility for supervising apprentices if assigned and the quality of their work

list Disrepair Surveyor

Up to £41.90 per hour inside IR35

MMP Consultancy is currently seeking an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to work on an interim contract with a public sector housing organisation in North London. £42 per hour (Damp and Mould Experience preferred).

Required to travel and attend site and office.

Key Duties

* Manage disrepair cases within the organisation in their entirety to ensure a seamless delivery of service.
* Undertake feasibility reports for Disrepair claims, recognising what liabilities are under the council and what are under the tenant.
* Create specifications of work to rectify any defects or repairs.
* Managing works from specification through to post inspection
* Organised and proactive
* Able to manage their own calendar and caseload.

Experience / Qualifications

* HNC, HND, BTEC HND or higher, in a building discipline, or over 5 years of hands-on experience in related repairs surveying/ construction from a trade background.
* Experience managing legal disrepair cases.
* Good understanding of damp and structural issues
* Social housing experience (not essential) -
* Largely office based.

Role Details

Rate: £42 per hour (Inside IR35)
Location: North London
Expenses: Business related parking and mileage is paid.
Contract: Rolling Interim

list Damp Surveyor

Up to £45.00 per hour Inside IR35

MMP Consultancy is currently seeking a Damp and Mould Surveyor for a Social Housing Organisation within South East London. Rate £45 per hour (Inside IR35).

Preferably be a qualified candidate however experience working specifically with Damp and Mould cases within social housing is essential.

Key Duties:

* Inspection of properties to specify repair/improvements in relation to damp and mould cases.
* Manage contractors' input in repairing and completing works.
* Carry out post-inspections and quality assurances.
* Check the accuracy of invoices submitted by contractors to maximise cost efficiency.
* Understanding technical terms and damp causes, from leaks to condensation. Rising damp, penetrating damp, cold bridging, and a good understanding.
* Manage tenant expectations and educate tenants on helpful ways of reducing dampness and mould in properties.

Experience

* Damp and Mould experience essential
* Repairs and Maintenance experience essential
* Working with tenants from social housing essential
* Protimeter and other relevant equipment experience
* Reporting skills will be helpful to track targets and compare data for key performance indications.

Job Details:

* £45 per hour - Inside IR35

Electrician

Up to £37600 per annum Van & Fuel card

A great opportunity has arisen for an Electrician to join a Housing provider based in Hampshire, on a permanent basis, paying £37,600 per annum with a van and fuel card supplied. The successful candidate will be available within short notice and have social housing experience.You must have a driving license as you will be supplied with a company van. The areas the successful Electrician will be covering will be Basingstoke and Winchester.

Working Hours: 8:30am - 17:00pm - Monday - Friday

You will be required to:

* Carry out remedial repairs and maintenance within social housing properties, occupied and void.
* Carry out electrical repairs EICRs
* Testing and inspecting occupied and void properties
* Ensure works are completed at a high standard within given time frames
* Carry out works allocated by appointments
* Participate in 24 call out when required which is 1 week in every 5/6 weeks

As an Electrician on the call out rota you will be paid:
* £115 stand by rate
* £35 per call out and if a first time fix it will be paid at £50 per call out.

Qualifications:

* City & Guilds and or/ equivalent e.g NVQ Level 3
* BS 7617: 18th Edition
* 2391 or 2395 (Desirable)

Gas Engineer

Up to £37386 per annum Van & Fuel card

A great opportunity has arisen for a Gas Engineer to join a Housing Association based in Portishead on a permanent basis paying £37,387 per annum with a van and fuel card supplied. My client is looking for a keen Gas Engineer who are looking for a secure role. The successful Gas Engineer will be required to work within occupied and void properties, completing annual gas servicing and repairs. This is role will be covering North Somerset, Bristol and Swindon.

Working Hours: 39 hours per week Mon-Fri

The successful Gas Engineer will be required to:
* Complete servicing and repairs (Domestic).
* Accurate completion of Gasafe certificates and other documentation including reporting defects
* Available as part of a stand by rota covering out of hours

The successful Gas Engineer will be supplied with:

Carpenter

Up to £24 per hour

I am currently recruiting for a Carpenter to join a North West London based housing provider on a temp to perm basis. An standard DBS Check will need to be carried out if successful.

The successful Carpenter will be required too:
* Complete carpentry repairs and maintenance within occupied and void properties as well as associated works
* Be customer focused
* Have social housing experience

The Plumber Pay Rate:
* £24.00ph (umbrella rate)

Hours:
* 42.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri)

The Plumber will be supplied with:
* A van
* Fuel card
* PDA System
