Are you a Shift Maintenance Craftsperson (Electrical Bias) looking for an exciting opportunity to join an Estates team within the NHS in the Croydon area? We're seeking a Shift Maintenance Craftsperson to maintain, repair, and improve our electrical and mechanical services, equipment, and installations. This role operates within a weekly rotating Day/Night shift system where your standard rate would be £19ph, Saturday/Night £22ph and Sunday/Bank Holidays £25ph.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Actively participate in planned maintenance schemes.
Manage labour control schemes and complete required paperwork.
Be ready to work overtime for emergency repairs as needed.
Carry Trust communication devices for immediate response to emergencies.
Proficiently handle repairs and planned preventative maintenance on various equipment.
Undertake essential repair works and general maintenance activities as directed.
Troubleshoot complex systems and equipment.
Conduct inspections, commissioning tests, and issue completion certificates.
Requirements:
Able to undergo a standard DBS
18th Edition IEE Regulations Training
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Experience in working in a service-led maintenance environment.
High awareness of Health and Safety issues.
Professional expertise with a logical and systematic approach to work tasks.
Ability to work with minimum supervision and under pressure.
