Job Description

MMP Consultancy is seeking a Security Officer on behalf of an College based in near Northampton. The vacancy is a permanent opportunity. The working hours for the 8am - 8pm and 8pm to 8am (4 x 12 hour shifts, 4 days on/4 days off)

The Security Officer can expect to earn a Salary of £12.00 per hour (pro rata to £25,191.63 per annum)

You will provide a visible security presence across the site at all times.

Both shifts will monitor our CCTV network and ensure that appropriate action is taken in the event of any incident occurring. During the day you will coordinate regular patrols across the site ensuring you are visible and accessible to all users of the site. This will be especially relevant over key periods such as lunch time and beginning/end of the student day. You will work closely with our on-site Student Welfare team to safeguard all our students and especially our resident students who live on site.

You must hold a SIA Door Supervision or SIA Security Guarding licence. Ideally you will also hold a SIA CTV Licence (although training can be provided if required). In order to cover the site effectively you should be able to drive and ideally hold a clean driving licence. You will have excellent problem solving skills and be able to work on your own initiative while taking a proactive approach to your role. You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to positively represent the College to all stakeholders and clients.

    The position is to start as soon as possible on a permanent basis at £56,250 per annum. This role will include estate regeneration, component replacement, major works, and special projects.

    This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of the client's annual asset investment programme, ensuring that customer needs are at the forefront of all activities.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts, supporting compliance, and delivering high-quality service across all asset investment and estate management services.

    As Asset Investment Manager, you will:

    • Lead a team of Property Surveyors and Complex Case Admin, driving performance improvements.
    • Manage a diverse caseload, addressing disrepair and complex asset issues.
    • Oversee the delivery of planned and responsive investment programmes, ensuring they meet budgetary and quality expectations.
    • Act as an Expert Witness when required and ensure the consistent management of contracts.
    • Work closely with residents and contractors to ensure customer satisfaction and value for money in all investment projects.
    • Monitor and manage contractor performance, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

    Key Responsibilities
