About the Role
We are working with a medium-sized housing association based in London to recruit a Compliance Officer specialising in fire safety. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong data management and contract administration skills to support the organisation's fire safety compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing compliance with fire safety regulations, including Active Fire Safety, AOV systems, Alarm Systems, Emergency Lighting, and Evacuation Systems.
  • Oversee the administration and coordination of fire safety contracts, ensuring all contractor obligations are met.
  • Maintain and update compliance databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Upload fire safety certificates and other essential documents into the database.
  • Book orders and schedule appointments with contractors and residents.
  • Communicate with contractors and residents to resolve access issues and ensure timely completion of fire safety work.
  • Support the Compliance Team in monitoring contractor performance and compliance with service level agreements.
  • Support ongoing compliance projects and contribute to improving fire safety procedures.
  • Use Microsoft Dynamic 365 for data management and administrative tasks.


What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in compliance or contract administration, preferably within a social housing environment.
  • Strong data management skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with fire safety compliance processes (desirable but not essential to be technically qualified).
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills to coordinate with contractors and residents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamic 365 is a plus.

MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Sheltered Housing Manager to join a Local Authority based in West London.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure through effective day to day management that the team delivers and continually improves a comprehensive enhanced housing management service to help residents maintain their tenancy and ensure they are able to access and receive a range of housing and support services.
  • Build an effective team through leadership and personal example so that team members are fully engaged and delivering an excellent service.
  • Ensure there is systematic monitoring and inspection of sheltered housing schemes to provide secure, clean and well maintained communal areas and services.
  • Ensure that vacant properties are passed to and received back from repairs and let within required timescales and that there is efficient, prompt and appropriate resettlement of new customers to reduce the loss of revenue and improve satisfaction for new tenants in terms of access to local services, health & safety checks and knowledge of the schemes facilities.
  • Ensure revenue loss is minimised through the team's effective management of rent arrears and the maximisation of resident's access to financial assistance by promoting and facilitating a wide range of financial inclusion.
  • Ensure there is effective reporting and monitoring of household repairs for residents less able to do so and that the handy person scheme is effectively utilised to provide a more accessible and tailored service.
  • Ensure that there is the consistent facilitation and promotion of social activities within the schemes and co-ordination of the use of communal lounges and guest rooms to enhance the quality of life for residents.
  • Develop and ensure adherence to the service level agreement, systems, administration, policies and procedures relating to health, safety and welfare of residents and the management of schemes and services.
  • Implement scheme based and co-ordinated resident involvement so that residents can contribute to the development of strategies, policies and plans and resident satisfaction is continuously improved.
  • Attend and service quarterly sheltered housing forums.


Skills Required:

  • Significant experience of managing a team of Specialist Housing Officers, working with vulnerable customers.
  • Experience of working within a performance management framework and reporting on KPIs and outcomes.
  • Track record of success working in a customer facing service and dealing sensitively and effectively with customer issues, specifically with older and vulnerable customers.
  • Experience of dealing with safeguarding issues and managing robust systems to ensure alerts are dealt with efficiently and sensitively.
  • An understanding and knowledge of housing and other relevant legislation and regulatory framework within housing.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and procedures, and an understanding of its practical application in the workplace and in relation to a customer centre and Scheme locations.

list Disrepair Surveyor

Up to £320 per hour Inside IR35

MMP Consultancy is currently seeking an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to work on an interim contract with a public sector housing organisation in North West London. £320 per day

£320 per day (LTD Inside IR35). Required to travel and attend site and office.

Key Duties

  • Inspection reports: findings, causation, remedials, conclusions, and photos-SORs to be utilized.
  • Drafting of Scott's Schedules.
  • Focus on case management and closure.
  • Strong knowledge of legal disrepair protocols, including the Landlord and Tenant Act (Section 11), Section 9A, and the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act.
  • Post-inspection tracker updates and completion.
  • Responses to MP inquiries, Councillor complaints, and Ombudsman cases.

Experience / Qualifications

  • HNC, HND, BTEC HND or higher, in a building discipline, or over 5 years of hands-on experience in related repairs surveying/ construction from a trade background.
  • Experience managing legal disrepair cases.
  • Good understanding of damp and structural issues.

Multi Trade Plasterer

Up to £21.40 per hour Van & Fuel card

MMP Consultancy are currently recruiting for skilled Multi trade Plasterers to join a social housing contractor based and working around the Lambeth area. This role is on a temp to perm basis paying £21.40 per hour CIS with a company van and fuel card supplied.

Pay rate: £21.40 per hour CIS

Working hours Mon - Fri 8am - 17:00pm with a half hour break

Multi Trade Plasterer Duties:

  • Carry out carry out a range of repairs and maintenance within social housing properties including all aspects of plastering, painting and decorating in both voids and occupied properties.

The Successful Multi Trade Plasterer will be required to:

  • Ensure works are completed at a high standard within given time frames
  • Carry out works allocated by appointments
  • Have a valid UK Driving Licence
  • A basic DBS will be required
  • Hold a relevant trade qualification

Multi Shift Engineer

Up to £26.33 per hour

MMP Consultancy is seeking a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to join a private hospital in Central London. The role involves carrying out installation, maintenance, and project tasks related to reactive, planned, and corrective works.

They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of building plant, systems, and equipment, maintaining high standards of customer service and safety. Candidates will ideally be multi-skilled on mechanical and electrical but with a mechanical bias.

The rate of pay is £26.33ph via an umbrella company, over a 44-hour working week, which is an estimated take home inclusive of holiday pay of £793 per week. The working hours will be 7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am working days and nights, 4 on 4 off.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance across Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, and other building systems.
  • Provide technical support, including Competent & Authorised Person duties.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, obtaining quotes and ensuring compliance with site requirements.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed within SLAs, with accurate updates provided.
  • Act as a point of contact for shift handovers and communicate effectively with the Estates team.
  • Escort subcontractors on-site and manage materials procurement.
  • Adhere to safety systems, risk assessments, and method statements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Completed full Apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
  • C&G Level 3 qualification (Mechanical or Electrical).
  • CSCS or relevant Trade Card.
  • Strong understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Experience with CAFM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Previous healthcare or HTM experience is desirable.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
