Job Description

I am seeking a Mechanical Plumber to join an Estates team within a University based in Camden. A new permanent position with the chance to develop including generous benefits. The working week will be a shift pattern 7am - 3pm or 11pm - 7pm with one weekend a month. Work a weekend and get a day back in lieu the following week. There's an option for overtime when its available, Salary ranging £39,000 - £43,000 per annum depending upon experience and qualifications. The benefit package includes 27 days holiday plus 4 extra working days at Christmas, additional summer holidays, access to well-being centre, pension scheme, private medical care, season ticket loan and much more.

Responsibilities:

* Experience working with AC systems, AHUs FCUs and BMS knowledge.
* Performing maintenance work in a manner that improves equipment and ensure regs and safety standards are met.
* Good communication skills and the ability to address a variety of stakeholders.
* Carry out routine, emergency, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment work.
* Sound working knowledge of standard IT packages, systems and/or databases.
* Preventative and reactive repairs.
* Experience and knowledge of working in a Maintenance environment.
* Conducting follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
* Proactive approach to relationship development with colleagues.
* Inspect the building regularly.
* Ability to interpret and apply guidelines to a specific activity.
* Maintain health and safety applying to plant, machinery, and tools to ensure safe working practices.
* Experience of working in a customer-facing environment.

Requirements:

* Mechanical Qualification required: Minimum Level 2 City & Guilds / NVQ
* 2-stage interview process.
* Relevant hands-on experience in building maintenance and fault finding.
* Experience with BMS.
* Good communication skills.
* Cleared DBS.
* Basic IT Skills.
* Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
* Comfortable working on your own and as part of a team.
