Responsible to: Head of Estates


  • Responsible for the effective management of the Planned, Reactive and Remedial maintenance services to Kingston Hospital Foundation Trust (KHFT). Ensure accurate records and oversight and effective planning of all activities to ensure compliance (statutory and non-statutory) and excellent customer care.
  • Responsible for managing budgetary allocation in terms of maintenance, ensuring it is effectively committed and not exceeded.
  • Responsible for the Performance Management of External Maintenance Providers and ensuring that agreed action plans are monitored & reported. Ensure Contract Services and Asset schedules are correct and up to date.
  • Responsible for the budgetary control of Staff Labour, Materials, and Contracts, with the grades revenue signatory delegation as per Trust Standing Financial Instructions.


  • Incorporated-level Engineer or equivalent Professional membership of a relevant professional body - Mechanical & Electrical Engineers Institutes (IMechE, CIBSE), IHEEM or the Institute of Marine Engineers
  • HND M&E Engineering or Building Services or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of operational experience at the management level to include management of a directly employed labour force and Estates/Engineering/Building Contracts.

Estates Project Manager

Up to £52244 per annum

MMP Consultancy is seeking an Estates Project Manager on behalf of a university based in Central London. This is a permanent role to start as soon as possible on a permanent basis. The salary is £52,244 per annum with pay progression each year, with generous benefits.

The Estates Project Manager will manage projects from inception to completion, collaborating with internal teams and external contractors on a range of projects (£10k to over £10m), including new builds, renovations, and adaptations.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include daily project management, ensuring projects adhere to university standards while delivering cost-effectiveness. They will develop client briefs through feasibility studies, create compliant project plans, and manage project teams. Monitoring project delivery, inspecting work quality, and arranging handovers are crucial tasks.

Additionally, they will collaborate with internal stakeholders, report regularly, and handle various duties within the role's scope. This role involves joint responsibility for managing a team of 7 Porters so experience in porter management is essential. It is paying £31,000 per annum with a range of benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team of 7 Porters with a focus on efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the effective project management of University infrastructural developments, from inception to completion and final handover.

Electrical Engineer

£40000 - £42000 per annum

I am seeking a Maintenance Electrical Engineer to join an Estates team within a college/university based in central London. A new permanent position with the chance to develop including generous benefits. The working week will be a shift pattern 7 am - 3:30 pm and 11 am - 7:30 pm alternates weekly with one weekend a month. Work a weekend and get a day back in lieu the following week. There's an option for overtime when it's available, Salary ranging from £40,000 - £42,000 per annum depending upon experience and qualifications.
