Key Responsibilities:

MMP Consultancy are working with a fantastic organisation to recruit Compliance Contracts Officer to join them on a Permanent basis, based in Kent.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the administration and management of Asbestos Surveying and Asbestos Removal contracts, along with any other small compliance-related contracts, ensuring compliance policies and procedures are followed.
* Provide regular updates and support to the Building Safety Manager on contract outcomes against the programme, including KPIs, budget, contract meetings, and general progress all within the contractual framework.
* Undertake procurement exercises with the Building Safety Manager, and Procurement Manager for the compliance contracts.
* Ensure systems are continuously updated including but not limited to the Asbestos Register, Asbestos Management Plan, Housing and Asset System, CRM, and Documents Management.
* Raising and completing orders, organising inspections, processing payment, and carrying out other support tasks such as word processing, correspondence, specifications, and providing general support to the Building Safety Manager within the Asset Team.
* Attend relevant webinars, courses, and collaborative networks to ensure that legislation and regulation changes are incorporated into our Policies and procedures.

* Proven experience in asbestos contract management is essential.
* Detailed knowledge of building pathology
* Understanding of compliance activities within social housing and ability to manage compliance contracts.
* Experience in using a variety of JCT and partnering contracts with the ability to undertake a procurement exercise.
* Previous experience using systems such as CX or Keystone would be an advantage.
* Ability to communicate and influence contractors, colleagues, and stakeholders.
* Proven problem-solving and negotiation skills.
* Experience in dealing effectively with customer complaints and able to demonstrate an understanding of what provides excellent customer service.
* The ability to work as part of a team, along with the ability to prioritise the workload.

Neighbourhood / ASB Officer

£20.45 - £26.98 per hour

MMP Consultancy are looking for a Neighbourhood / ASB Officer to join a fantastic Housing Association in South London.

* Provide a responsive and pro-active tenancy management service, including succession, and mutual exchanges, and requests relating to the tenancy across all tenure types.
* Investigate and resolve tenancy breaches in line with the Association's procedures and where appropriate work in partnership with other agencies and colleagues.
* Ensure estates and communal areas are managed to a high standard and in conjunction with other colleagues, set up, monitor and manage contracts for estate cleaning, grounds maintenance and communal repairs and liaise with property services teams as required.
* Undertake estate inspections with residents, ensuring the reporting of any repairs, and completion of arising tenancy and estate management actions. This includes carrying out Fire Risk Assessment reviews.
* Lead on the management of any homeownership units within the patch, including liaison with
* Rents and Revenue Team, Property Services and Leasehold Officer. This includes support of statutory consultation, and responding to enquires arising from stair-casing and resales process.
* Bring any safeguarding concerns to the attention of the Team Leader, Manager or Housing Services Director or external agency as appropriate.
* Contribute to the continuing improvement and development of working practices, policy and procedure in relation to neighbourhood management.
* Investigate reports of domestic abuse, nuisance, harassment or anti-social behaviour made by or about residents or others and identify
* Take the lead role on risk assessment of ASB/DV cases
* Take all reasonable steps to resolve the dispute by agreement between the parties involving other agencies where appropriate (e.g. Mediation Services).
* Use non-legal ASB remedies such as Acceptable Behaviour Contracts, Good Neighbour Agreements and restorative justice where appropriate.

Scheduling Manager

Up to £35000 per annum

MMP Consultancy are looking for a Scheduling Manager to join an excellent Contractor based in Essex / London on a Permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the Schedulers to ensure operational resources are fully productive and utilised in the most effective manner.
* Lead, coach and motivate your team to deliver divisional objectives in relation to quality and performance
* Deal with challenging customers and take control of situations to achieve a positive outcome.
* Guiding and developing your people to provide excellent service to our stakeholders and front-line staff, and ensure your team not just do the work, but feel empowered to drive our business forwards.
* To promote good working relationships with your colleagues and the company's clients and suppliers.
* Implement the escalation process within the regions. This may require you to support any major escalations out of core business hours.
* Direct line management responsibility for a regional team of Schedulers
* Carry out or support any other duties relevant to the scheduling team function

Person Specification:

* Excellent stakeholder manager skills required to communicate with Operatives, operational managers and residents.
* Excellent problem-solving skills; be able to find solutions to scheduling challenges.
* Excellent organisational skills - someone who thrives under pressure and can manage a large and varied workload with competing priorities and deadlines.
* You should have good experience within a similar resource scheduling role, through which you would have developed some basic technical knowledge of domestic repairs and maintenance.

Planning Manager

MMP Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Planning Manager to join a fantastic local authority in Essex on a Permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to achieving the Council's corporate objectives and priorities
* Contribute to the Council's agenda for achieving continuous improvement in service delivery and any external performance assessments
* Ensure that development management achieves the highest standards of design and place making and works with developers to achieve that
* Manage the Development Management and Enforcement Service and provide support for the overall management of Development Services and input into corporate projects
* Provide the Council with professional advice on planning matters affecting the Borough and implement the highest standards of professional integrity

Service Charge Analyst

MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit x 4 Service Charge Analyst to join a fantastic Housing Provider based in London on a temporary contract.

You will work as part of a team to produce detailed analysis of actual expenditure and estimates of future costs as part of the Service Charge actuals and budget setting process.

This is a temporary position paying £27.43 an hour Umbrella


Calculate provisions based upon actual replacement and refurbishment requirements
Check contracts and the allocation of costs to schemes
Review exceptions within schemes and resolve issues
Liaise with key internal stakeholders and obtain supporting invoice/contract information
Monitor the spend on each scheme, investigate and resolve any variations and issues that arise.
Resolve any issues resulting from the exception report.
Check coding and apportionment of invoices relating to service charges.
Ensure invoices are logged promptly and accurately resolving any issues through liaison with internal stakeholders.
Checking integrity of account data and analysing variances as necessary.
Review statements and obtain approval where appropriate.
Prepare statements for printers
Navigate multiple systems to extrapolate budget and actual data.
Respond to customer enquiries using case management techniques, investigating and escalating issues as necessary.

Senior Housing Advisor

Up to £32.13 per hour

MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Senior Housing Advisor on a temporary basis working for a Local Authority based in Hammersmith.

To manage a team of officers delivering a customer facing first point of contact for people who are presenting as being homeless or threatened with homelessness. To ensure the team provide excellent services to all residents and customers who present, apply, or are referred to the service by offering high standards of customer care at all times acting with integrity and courtesy.

This will be a temporary position paying £32.13 Umbrella


* Manage a team providing the first point of contact for customers approaching the Council for housing assistance using all contact methods e.g. in person, by telephone, email, fax or by post. Postholder will work flexibly across all access channels as required to meet the needs of customers and the efficient and effective running of the service.
* Ensure the service is suitably covered to deal with demand, managing rotas and taking decisions, often at short notice, depending on customer flow and staff absences. Part of this is also ensuring appropriate cover by suitably skilled officers for Out of Hours service.
* Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, Housing Act 1996 Part VII, the Code of Guidance and all associated case law and apply this knowledge in the administration of our prevention and relief and other statutory duties.
* Ensure the team applies the legislative framework correctly during the 'triage' process, so that correct and appropriate decisions are made at the initial stages, that these are appropriately recorded, and that the council is not exposed to legal or reputational risk as a result.
* Oversee best practice in terms of record keeping, confidentiality and administration, working within approved policies, procedures and standards.
* Monitor and track all customer enquiries, complaints and member enquiries coming into the Assessment and Prevention Team. To ensure these are responded to within the appropriate timescales and to the appropriate level. To contribute to analysis enabling the service to learn from these enquiries, which leads to service improvement.
* Contribute towards the management of health and safety within H&F Advice, in particular to be responsible for ensuring that the public areas are kept safe, tidy and free of avoidable hazards.
* Be responsible for managing and recording all contacts with high standards of customer care to effectively and efficiently meet the needs of customers e.g. providing information and advice, signposting to other providers, undertaking adult social screening, housing advice interviews and all associated follow-up enquiries.
* Assist with the assessment and verifications process of applications to join the Council's general Housing Register, taking care at all times to ensure information to support applications are evidenced, verified and appropriately processed. To make sure officers have a good understanding of the Council's Allocation Policy in order to correctly support Housing Register applications.
* Log case reviews, where a formal review or appeal has been requested. To send acknowledgement letters in relation to this, ensuring that they comply with the relevant statutory regulations and requirements.

Skills & Abilities:

* Experience of managing a team and providing advice, assistance and homelessness prevention services.
* Good knowledge of the needs of vulnerable single people in housing need and the ability to apply this knowledge to applications for housing assistance.
* Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively, in writing and orally, with team members landlord, tenants, members, solicitors, stakeholders, partners and the public.
* A commitment to and understanding of the Council's equal opportunities policy, and the ability to implement the policy in relation to the homelessness prevention agenda.
* Excellent knowledge of IT systems and databases and the ability to extract information, produce statistical data and present in report format.
* A good understanding of issues relating to homelessness and housing legislation including the Homelessness Reduction Act and experience of working in this area
* Experience of dealing with partner agencies in terms of creating and implementing effective solutions.
* Experience of working in a service within a pressurised environment within a multi-disciplinary team, providing a quality service.
