list Property & Place Manager

An opportunity has arisen for Property & Place Manager to join a large Local Authority in South West London.

Role specific responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Property & Place Service - including Property Procurement, Temporary Accommodation, TA Allocations, and the Refugee Resettlement Programme.
  • Work with the Head of Allocations & Lettings to ensure a housing procurement strategy is in place which meets the Council's demands for accommodation, ensuring accommodation is procured in a legal, ethical, and accountable manner in line with all current legislation, health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Provide direction and management to the Temporary Accommodation Management, Allocations and Property Procurement Teams, responding to supply and demand requirements and briefing the Head of Allocations & Lettings on policies and trends impacting on supply, contributing to policy changes as required.
  • Responsible for budget management for the Property & Place Service area forecasting and monitoring budgetary projections to deliver the service within budget and produce periodic budget monitoring information.
  • Lead on new projects and initiatives as required to ensure service delivery and development.
  • Deputise for the Head of Allocation & Lettings & other Managers in the Housing Solutions service area

About the Role
We are working with a medium-sized housing association based in London to recruit a Compliance Officer specialising in fire safety. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong data management and contract administration skills to support the organisation's fire safety compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing compliance with fire safety regulations, including Active Fire Safety, AOV systems, Alarm Systems, Emergency Lighting, and Evacuation Systems.
  • Oversee the administration and coordination of fire safety contracts, ensuring all contractor obligations are met.
  • Maintain and update compliance databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Upload fire safety certificates and other essential documents into the database.
  • Book orders and schedule appointments with contractors and residents.
  • Communicate with contractors and residents to resolve access issues and ensure timely completion of fire safety work.
  • Support the Compliance Team in monitoring contractor performance and compliance with service level agreements.
  • Support ongoing compliance projects and contribute to improving fire safety procedures.
  • Use Microsoft Dynamic 365 for data management and administrative tasks.


What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in compliance or contract administration, preferably within a social housing environment.
  • Strong data management skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with fire safety compliance processes (desirable but not essential to be technically qualified).
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills to coordinate with contractors and residents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamic 365 is a plus.

Role Overview:
Are you an experienced Estimator ready to take on an exciting role in a dynamic and innovative team? Our client is looking for great candidates to join their team! You'll play a critical part in preparing budget estimates, cost control documents, and open market competitive tenders to secure future projects. This role demands a commitment to quality, with adherence to our Quality Management System (ISO9001) and company procedures.
What You'll Do:
Quality & Compliance

  • Prepare tenders and control documents using the Causeway Estimating system.
  • Create budget estimates and cost plans with detailed supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments, and method statements.


Project Delivery

  • Analyse bid documents, drawings, and specifications to produce comprehensive tender submissions.
  • Measure quantities and produce Bills of Quantities.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather accurate quotations.
  • Attend internal and client meetings to ensure successful bid management and project handover.


Financial Management

  • Set up estimate files and coordinate bid strategies.

  • Competency in pricing from first principles and using the Causeway estimating package.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

MMP Consultancy have been approached by one of our Housing Association clients this morning to assist them with their search of their new M&E Manager. I wanted to see if this would be of interest to you?

Role Overview:

To provide expertise and lead in the operational management of compliance control, information maintenance and monitoring with regard to the servicing, inspection and follow up regimes of remedial works across all statutory and non-statutory compliance work- streams within remit, liaising with the Performance team to ensure up to date adherence is understood at all times.

To work effectively and collaboratively across all external stakeholders to ensure statutory and non-statutory obligations, planned works contract delivery and associated consequential remedial works, inclusive of building and engineering disciplines, are being met and ensure safe running of associated asset related life safety systems and equipment.

To manage the M&E Engineer and maintain working relationships with the senior management team and operational delivery teams to promote confidence in the agreed assurance mechanisms and raise the level of awareness and understanding of statutory compliance within our clients homes.

Key Deliverables

1.Ensure that all relevant compliance service, testing and inspection processes within remit are carried out correctly, remedial/follow on works are undertaken on a risk basis; that the service, testing and inspection process remains current and fit for purpose, and all records and certification are appropriately recorded. Keep up to date with changing legislation, standards and technology. Assist in the updating of specifications and documents.
2.Implement and operate robust processes and procedures in order to ensure the legal obligations in regard to property compliance are managed and met; and to ensure all identified risks are mitigated in the most efficient manner, making best use of available resources to keep all residents safe.
3.Work in collaboration with H&S Manager and the Building Safety Manager to ensure risks around health, safety and compliance are identified and risk mitigation strategies are developed and implemented to maintain property compliance and our regulatory obligations are met.
