Key Objectives:
* To manage the Major Works & Regeneration Team In the delivery of projects, to meet statutory and other requirements and resident priorities.
* To maintain and Improve our clients housing stock within a framework of Improving quality and cost effectiveness
* To lead, appoint, negotiate With, manage and monitor consultants and contractors to deliver the Investment Programme
Responsibilities
* Oversee the procurement of contracts to deliver the Regeneration and Investment Programme ensuring Best Value In their commissioning and provision
* Identify, commit and control all financial expenditure associated With the major works contracts managed by the Project Team To lead and develop the project team In the provision of a full range of technical consultant and project management functions.
* Ensure that all schemes are completed In accordance within Investment Programme, Business Plan and Service targets
* Commission and work With technical consultants on a range of major works schemes
* Work In partnership With our client appointed contractors
* Involve residents In the Investment process To assist In the development, Implementation and review of our client procurement and Investment strategy In accordance With best practice
* Identify Investment needs through the use of stock condition Information and provide technical solutions to address such needs
* Undertake cost, performance and practice benchmarking to drive service Improvements
* Develop, Implement and review policies and procedures relating to major works
* Apply life cycle costing to specified materials, ensuring the long-term sustainability of Investment
* Assist In the review of contracting arrangements and to ensure all contracts are tendered and let In accordance With Industry best practice
* Manage the major works contracts, regularly appraise contractor performance and Initiate action to achieve service Improvements
* Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, e g dangerous structures Devise and Implement long-term solutions to address the problem
* Ensure that all resident and/or user consultation IS undertaken for all schemes
* Ensure that scheme costs are recharged to leaseholders In accordance With current procedures To ensure that stock data IS accurately maintained upon the completion of all schemes
* Regularly analyse and report performance against service standards, Investment programme targets and scheme KPl's
* Ensure a prompt and effective response to all complaints made to our client In accordance With agreed complaints procedure Prepare and present reports to the Senior Management Team, Board Meetings, Tenant and Resident associations and other forums on matters associated With the delivery of major works and the Investment programme
* Manage the workload, priorities and targets of all staff reporting to the post and Identify and meet staff training needs
* Carry out all management actions relating to staff Including annual appraisal, one to one meetings, recruitment and selection, sickness management, Investigating grievances and disciplinary matters Promote the importance of value for money, encouraging staff to Identify and consider new value for money Initiatives Ensure that all allocated duties of both yourself and your staff are carried out In compliance With our client Health and Safety policy, financial regulations, standing orders and other procedures

This position is paying £55,800 Benefits (inc Car Allowance)
Job Purpose:
The role is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of property investment, service & inspection and repairs services to parts of the property portfolio, approx. 20-40 locations. Working with housing/care operations you will ensure timely delivery of services, and ensure all properties are kept in a good condition within property strategy targets. You will ensure compliance with commercial and contract management arrangements, ensuring the contractual obligations are met. Manage project performance and working with the quantity surveying team ensure robust financial forecasting, processing of valuations and contract instructions. To be responsible for identifying cost saving through collaboration with contractor and quantity surveying team. The role will require strong interaction with housing/care operations teams to ensure works run smoothly and meets the needs of the business.

MMP Consultancy is currently seeking a Fire Building Surveyor (FRA) for an interim contract with a Public Sector organisation in Northamptonshire. £300 per day (Inside IR35).
Key areas of work will involve the assessment and delivery of Fire Risk works to social housing properties.
Key Duties:
* An experienced Building Surveyor is required to manage fire risk assessment (FRA) remedial works across a portfolio of 11,000 social housing properties.
* The role involves ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, overseeing contractors, and delivering high-quality remedial works that enhance resident safety.
* Ensuring works are completed and evidenced to meet the relevant fire safety certification scheme for example FIRAS, Certifire etc.
* Contract Management of the supply chain under a JCT MT contract.
* The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective and robust solutions to deliver works to remedy FRA actions.
What you'll preferably to have:
Degree in Building Surveying, Fire Safety, or a related discipline
Fire safety-related qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment, NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate) are highly desirable.
Membership of the Institute of Fire Engineers or similar body
Chartered membership of RICS or CIOB (or working towards).
