MMP Consultancy is working with a Local Authority in East London who is looking for a new Commercial Asset Manager to join the business - this is an interim opportunity paying £400 per day.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
* This post requires an experienced general practice commercial surveyor to assist
with the strategic management of the Council's commercial property portfolio.
* To take full responsibility for managing part of a diverse commercial property
portfolio and to undertake a range of associated professional work, including
inspections, valuations, lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals, options appraisals
and dispute management.
* To review and monitor property accounts, with a view to maximising rental income,
taking corrective action in respect of voids/debtors as necessary.
* To take responsibility for reporting, managing, and ensuring compliance with any
relevant rules and regulations.
* To ensure the Council's Health & Safety and Statutory Compliance policies are
followed for all commercial properties.
* To contribute to the development and support delivery of the Council's
Sustainability and Energy Strategy across the Council's commercial assets.
* To provide sound professional advice via both verbal updates and formal written
reports to property colleagues and directors; other corporate departments; the
Cabinet and the elected Mayor.
* To develop strong and trusted relationships with commercial property tenants,
residents and other external stakeholders.

Role Overview:

* Reports to the Fire Safety Manager
* Does have line management responsibility.
* Is responsible for managing the FRA process and ensuring actions are issued, managed, and completed.
* Is responsible for chairing FRA Task Group meetings.
* To ensure the successful delivery of fire safety, FRA actions and to support senior management and management teams in doing the same.
* The post holder will prepare and present KPI reports on the fire safety programme.
* Be comfortable with using a range of software, databases and a strong user of all Microsoft tools.
* Work in partnership with Building Safety Team to develop an appropriate fire safety procedure to comply with legislation and the Council's policies and procedures.
* The post holder will work collaboratively with all teams to deliver positive outcomes and maintain resident safety. Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including fire enforcement bodies, contractors, and partners.
* To help develop policies and procedures to the support the work of the team and department.
* To carry out such other duties within the competence of the post holder which may be reasonably required from time to time.

MMP Consultancy currently has an opportunity for a Building Surveyor to join a local authority based in North London.

This interim position will pay £41.76 P/Hour Umbrella on a 6-9 Month contract with the option to be extended.
Primary Job Function:
To deal with repair issue cases referred to them, diagnose the cause, and arrange for works to be carried out. This will include the assessment of condensation cases and drafting reports for presentation to the High-Value Repair Panel
Role Duties:
* Carry out building inspections as necessary to diagnose the cause of building defects, and raise work orders using the National Housing Federation Schedule of Rates or specifications as appropriate.
* To prepare reports relating to condensation in compliance with the LBI Condensation Protocol.
* To assist in preparing reports for senior managers, including those of a policy or strategic nature.
* To produce professional technical reports and present them to the High-Value Repair Panel.
* To manage subsidence and structural failure cases with specialist external consultants.
* To assess alteration requests from tenants and leaseholders and complete paperwork in compliance with the process.
* To manage fire, flood, or collision Insurance cases.
* To assist the Legal Disrepair and Diagnostics Manager in the development of policies and procedures relating to the Repairs Service.
