Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director - Housing Property and Asset Strategy with a robust background in the following areas:
*Stakeholder Management: Engaging with the Mayor, Cabinet Members, residents, and other key stakeholders.
*Long-term Asset Management Strategy: Aligning with the Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS).
*Capital Works Programme Delivery: Overseeing the delivery of comprehensive capital works.
*Building and Landlord Safety Compliance: Ensuring safety compliance and reporting.
*Leadership and Cultural Change: Leading staff management and fostering cultural change.
*Reactive Repairs Service Oversight: Managing and improving the reactive repairs service.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will need to:
*Deliver a comprehensive asset management strategy for the organisation.
*Collaborate with Finance and other internal colleagues to ensure alignment with our clients assumptions.
*Act as an intelligent client to develop short- and medium-term capital works delivery plans, balancing various priorities including compliance.
*Manage and oversee safety works for over 70 high-rise blocks and complex building safety requirements, considering that over 50% of our residents are leaseholders.
*Receive a thorough handover from the incumbent leaving at the end of September.
Current Team:
We have two interims currently supporting the team, focusing on improving reactive repairs, damp and mould issues, and complaints service.
We are looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.

MMP Consultancy have an opportunity for a Service Delivery Manager to join our client and lead our responsive repair work streams across the business.
Reporting to the Lead Head of Service within our repairs and maintenance division, you will be pivotal in leading and managing the delivery of a high-quality, timely responsive repairs service with a 'right-first-time' approach.
Managing a team of direct and indirect reports (including Technical Supervisors, trade operatives, and engineers), you will identify operational efficiencies whist ensuring the responsive repair programs offer value for money solutions and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
Experience of managing responsive repair services, demonstrable stakeholder and contract management experience is a must!

Managing a team of direct and indirect reports (including supervisors, trade operatives, and engineers), you will oversee daily team operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness and aim to identify and implement operational efficiencies to ensure the disrepair and damp & mould programs are compliant, offer value for money solutions and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
Due to the complex nature of the work stream, prior experience of managing disrepair / Damp & Mould services, demonstrable stakeholder and contract management experience is essential.
