Job Description
MMP Consultancy is seeking a Community Regeneration Manager on behalf of a Local Authority based in West London. The position is to start as soon as possible on a 3-6-month basis initially subject to extension. This is a temporary position with an hourly rate of circa £36ph over a 36-hour working week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering complex and impactful regeneration schemes, including key Town Centre projects. They will have the opportunity to shape the future of local communities by driving projects that deliver new housing, community assets, and sustainable income streams, all while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead & Coordinate: Oversee regeneration projects from development through to delivery, ensuring adherence to project management principles including risk management and value for money.
* Funding & Financial Management: Identify funding opportunities, secure external finance, and manage budgets to support regeneration activities.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Drive consultation and engagement efforts, ensuring effective communication with residents and stakeholders.
* Project Management: Monitor and evaluate project performance, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with local and national policies.
* Community Leadership: Organise and manage events, such as community consultations and focus groups, to enhance community engagement.
Qualifications:
* Essential: Degree level qualification or a minimum of two years of project management experience.
* Desirable: Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMI).
* Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in leading complex regeneration projects.
* Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and local government compliance.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence outcomes at senior levels.
* Demonstrable experience in community engagement and stakeholder management.
* Strong negotiation skills and a track record of successful bid writing and budget management.

Stock Condition Surveyor
MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Stock Condition Surveyor to join a housing association. My client have stock in and around the Ealing & West London Areas.
The position is primarily site-based, with occasional office attendance at the Ealing Gateway office.
My client are offering an hourly rate of £40p/h Umbrella.
Role Purpose:
- Develop effective working relationships with colleagues and external agencies
- Support the delivery of the planned, cyclical and maintenance programmes and services and Asset Management Strategy.
- Work proactively with residents and colleagues to ascertain programme priorities and service needs
- Play a key role in developing customer expectations and other key stakeholders involvement in a programme of projects.
- Understand, analyse and act upon all aspects of customer feedback and performance relating to your programme delivery through the use of available management information reporting tools
- Pro-actively ensure that any underperformance or service failure is addressed to ensure that programme targets and operational KPI's are met: using legal and contractual knowledge to resolve issues
- Liaise with external organisations as appropriate
- Responsible for health & safety issues within the responsibility of the post
- Knowledge of construction, engineering and compliance standards.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop effective working relationships with colleagues and external agencies
- To undertake stock condition surveys on the organisation's properties and communal areas, collecting information with regards to stock condition, age, repairs and remaining life of building components
- Carry out stock condition surveys, HHSRS surveys, Fire Risk Assessments and DDA audits on internal and external domestic properties.
- Advise on conditions relating to property condition, providing solutions to property issues and informing future programmes of works.
- Carry out health and safety surveys in line with HHSRS.
- Carry out other surveys, e.g. DDA surveys and fire risk assessments, to update the Association's asset register and assist the Asset Management directorate in preparing schedules for service charges for renewal, repair and maintenance.
- Upload survey data onto the Asset Management database providing management information and reports as necessary.
