MMP Consultancy is seeking a Community Regeneration Manager on behalf of a Local Authority based in West London. The position is to start as soon as possible on a 3-6-month basis initially subject to extension. This is a temporary position with an hourly rate of circa £36ph over a 36-hour working week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering complex and impactful regeneration schemes, including key Town Centre projects. They will have the opportunity to shape the future of local communities by driving projects that deliver new housing, community assets, and sustainable income streams, all while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead & Coordinate: Oversee regeneration projects from development through to delivery, ensuring adherence to project management principles including risk management and value for money.
* Funding & Financial Management: Identify funding opportunities, secure external finance, and manage budgets to support regeneration activities.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Drive consultation and engagement efforts, ensuring effective communication with residents and stakeholders.
* Project Management: Monitor and evaluate project performance, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with local and national policies.
* Community Leadership: Organise and manage events, such as community consultations and focus groups, to enhance community engagement.
Qualifications:
* Essential: Degree level qualification or a minimum of two years of project management experience.
* Desirable: Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMI).
* Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in leading complex regeneration projects.
* Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and local government compliance.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence outcomes at senior levels.
* Demonstrable experience in community engagement and stakeholder management.
* Strong negotiation skills and a track record of successful bid writing and budget management.

Act as lead professional in all aspects of inspections, design and building contract procurement of works for the service and to provide expert professional and technical advice, guidance, training and support in all matters relating to cyclical maintenance of the stock in a customer focussed manner.
Looking for bias across Mechanical and Electrical areas of work in particular:
* Mechanical and electrical works, delivering both planned and reactive works.
* Lifts
* Door entry systems
* Alarm call systems
* Fire safety equipment
* Water testing
* Gas energy systems and appliances
* Communal heating & hot water systems
* Alternative green renewable energy solutions such as ground and air source heat pumps, solar panels
Key Duties:
* Covering planned maintenance, inspection and installation of equipment and services
* Pre-inspection / Post-inspection
* Project manager for cyclical maintenance and other improvement projects as assigned
* Work with Engineers in delivery of the works
* Delivering services in compliance with health and safety requirements Ensure compliance with legislative guidance.
* Has used the Compliance System - C365
