Job Description

MMP Consultancy are looking for a Service Charge Officer to join a fantastic Housing Association based in East London.

Duties:
* Carry out an audit of every scheme validating the services residents benefit from against service chargeable cost headings and costs applied within the system
* Document the results of the audit in the service register against each scheme / property creating a true and accurate master record of services each property benefits.
* Review lease provisions to ensure service costs are permitted under the lease and the costs are appointed correctly
* Prepare service charge schedules for each property including service charge estimates and final accounts
* Process adjustments to service charges in respect of variable charges
* Lead on production and distribution of service charge related correspondence to the residents
* charge queries from residents and other stakeholders
* Be involved in the process of setting up service charges for new schemes
* Liaise with the auditors on the inspection of service charge accounts
* Produce quarterly management accounts for service-chargeable cost elements to enable early detection of errors and monitoring service charge expenditure on an ongoing basis
* Process weekly rent debit including changes to tenancy/unit details
* Post and deal with rent receipts, adjustments, write offs/ins and rent/housing benefit refunds.
* Process the annual direct debits increases based on the annual rent increases.
* Reconcile rent control accounts

Experience Required:
* Experience of calculating rents and setting service charges within a Social Housing environment
* Sound knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements around Rent and Service Charges
* Experience of using a service charge and/or finance system
* Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle

MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Resident Liaison Officer to work for a National Contractor on an Ongoing Basis, based in the West Midlands.

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of works programmes. Working closely with Contract Managers you will assist in resident consultation and involvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the management of resident consultation and involvement in planned works programmes, minimising disruption to residents whilst helping to ensure that the programme does not fall behind schedule and costs remain within budget
  • Developing and delivering effective communication with residents, liaising closely with contractor staff to assist in the smooth running of the programmes and the ongoing building management
  • Contribution to community engagement plans and initiatives to counter joblessness and financial exclusion


Ideal Candidate:

  • Present previous experience of working within Social Housing or Local Authority
  • Resident Liaison/Community Engagement capacity

Up to £28324.00 per annum

MMP Consultancy are working with a fantastic organisation to recruit a Contracts Administrator to join them on a fixed term basis in Kent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Have a focus on safety first with all risks identified immediately escalated to the Contract Manager
  • Provide regular updates and support to Senior Contract Manager on contracts outcomes against programme
  • Undertake regular audit of contract related information including certification (Where applicable) and develop action plans for closing works in a consistent manner.
  • Collate, analyse, monitor and report on KPIs within the contractual frameworks
  • Provide financial monitoring support and analysis to Contract manager
  • Regular monitoring of Cx Task Management
  • Monitor and report on contract management meeting actions
  • Support delivery teams in responding to written and phone enquires and update Cx as necessary.
  • Processing works orders, completions, process for payments or inspection requests in accordance with the policies and procedures and respond to general queries relating to proposed and confirmed works
  • Assist in the provision of information for the database for Stock Condition, Asbestos, Fire Risk Assessment and any other areas as required.


Requirements:

  • Experience of data analysis and process management
  • Proven project management or contract experience
  • Ability to co communicate and influence contractors, colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Detailed knowledge of using a variety of JCT and partnering contracts
  • Proven influencing and negotiating skills to resolve problems
  • Sound judgement and prioritisation skills

MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Extra Care Scheme Manager on a Permanent basis, based in Kent.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage all aspects of housing related services to provide a high-quality housing management service to residents.
  • Monitor and action low level rent arrears cases in accordance with the policies and procedures.
  • Line manage and develop the extra care scheme assistant ensuring objectives are met and performance maintained to a high standard.
  • Take ownership of the scheme key performance indicators (KPIs) and responsibility for ensuring their achievement and reporting to timescale.
  • Build positive working relationships with the care providers, cleaning, catering and facilities management contractors to ensure tenants receive a seamless service.
  • Develop and maintain a varied activities programme which links in with the local community and encourage tenants to support their own activities.
  • Implement any required health and safety and fire checks for the scheme.
  • Deliver an excellent level of service to customers ensuring that their needs are met.

Requirements:

Up to £20157.00 per annum

MMP Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Supported Housing Officer on a Part Time basis in Kent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop our supported housing homes and services to have a positive impact for the tenants.
  • Support tenants to maintain tenancies, through monitoring arrears, managing anti-social behaviour, supporting to maximise income and where appropriate a successful move on to permanent accommodation.
  • Promote resident responsibility for the behaviours of themselves, their households and visitors to meet the conditions of their tenancy agreements
  • Build safe communities with proactive and consistent service delivery to reduce and respond to reports of anti-social behaviour, hate crime, domestic abuse, safeguarding and other tenancy breaches
  • Continuously improve the service, through monitoring and reporting against performance measures and through effective administration.
  • Monitor, manage and meet targets for customer rent accounts and arrears
  • Contribute to and support the supported housing manager in the shaping and delivery of homelessness and supported housing strategies
  • Comply with the legal, contractual and performance requirements of our Private Finance Initiative (PFI) management contract.
  • Develop our established services and expand our business through collaborative working with partners, stakeholders and commissioners.

Key Knowledge & Experience:

  • Awareness of current issues, legislation and best practice in relation to supported housing management.
  • Experience of delivering a positive customer focussed service
  • Proven communication, interpersonal and written skills adaptable to all audiences, including the ability to write reports for senior management
  • Proven ability to take ownership of challenging and difficult conversations with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office. Confident in learning in-house bespoke systems, including ability to run, create and analyse reports
  • Experience of negotiating skills to support effective contract management and dispute resolution.
  • Driving licence essential.
